In 2014, the company Krupp Hoesch Stahl GmbH, headquartered in the ThyssenKrupp Quarter in Essen, commissioned our office with the building and structural design for the construction of a new training center for about 40 trainees from the metal industry at the Neubeckum site.

The user of the building is ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions AG, formerly known as Polysius AG, from Neubeckum. The building complex is divided into three adjoining structures. The training workshop for the skilled trades is located in the hall section. The single-story intermediate building houses a storage area and other uses assigned to the hall.

The first floor of the two-story building contains sanitary facilities and common areas for the trainees. The upper floor is reserved for administration and training rooms for the technical trades. The special feature of this building is its comprehensive accessibility. As part of its inclusion policy, the Group can therefore also offer training at the site to people with disabilities. The building will be put into operation for the 2015/2016 apprenticeship year.
