The company Dyckerhoff GmbH is an international cement and building materials manufacturer. In 2008, the cement plant in Lengerich commissioned us with the structural design for a grinding plant for granulated blast furnace slag with an enclosed space of approx. 16,000 m3.

Our services also included the preparation of construction drawings for the approval procedure and of specifications for all construction work as well as engineering supervision during the construction period. For the preparation of the construction site, an approx. 4 m high bored pile wall had to be relocated in sections. The foundation was built with bored piles, using sections of the relocated bored pile wall. The foundation for the mill was laid flat.

The outer walls of the mill room were built in reinforced concrete, the ceiling above consists of steel girders with partially precast reinforced concrete ceiling slabs. The main interceptor structure above the mill room ceiling consists of a steel truss supporting the upper steel platforms. The structure above the mill room consists of a steel structure with a steel sandwich facade.

Exterior dust collection lines are supported by brackets attached to steel plates set in concrete. A closed connecting bridge to the neighboring clinker silo was built in steel and supported on the silo wall.
